Introduction
The 10-year UK Government plan to combat illegal drugs, the New Drug Strategy “From Harm to Hope” sets out how they are doing more than ever to cut off the supply of drugs by criminal gangs and give people with a drug addiction a route to a productive and drug-free life. Underpinned by a record investment of over £3 billion in the next three years, they are committed to reducing drug-related crime, death, harm and overall drug use.
In line with this strategy, we are committed to supporting such an initiative and have built a new suite of training modules that are suitable for every discipline of staff. The aim is to support you to facilitate treatment and recovery-oriented care and the shared ambition to join up with all areas of drug treatment and recovery with your stakeholder partners.
Our Modules
The following modules include 1 CPD hour each:

Internet Gaming and Addiction
New Product Development
Trauma Informed Care
Spotting Overdose Signs
Management of Pain & Prescription Medication Abuse
The following modules include 2 CPD hours each:
New Psychoactive Substances
Blood Borne Viruses

Who is this course for?
This course is mainly for those supporting vulnerable individuals within both secure environments and the community - this includes service users experiencing substance dependency and other forms of addiction. if you are unsure whether these modules meet your organisations needs, please arrange a call with the SLD Training team, who can provide assistance.
Course Details
On Completion of these modules you will receive between 1 to 2 CPD hours per module
You can select the modules that best suit the needs of your team
Choose between a minimum of 2 hours worth of courses (maximum 4 hours) per day for your team
